2013 was a mixed year at Cork Airport. Cork Airport saw a recovery in passenger numbers for 2013 the first time since 2009 after 4 consecutive years of decline. New routes, to East Midlands, Málaga, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Palma de Majorca. A new airline "Arkefly" based an aircraft between May and October plus various visits of unusual airlines.
