Infinite Flight: Airbus A321

Infinite Flight Simulator is one of my favourite apps ever! The app is available on the AppStore for only €4.49. The app contains a number of in app purchases for buying Aircraft and Airports. The app comes with a number of free ones too: Airbus A321, A380, Boeing 737, 747, 787 etc, and zSan Francisco & Amsterdam Airport etc. Another aircraft on the app I love is the Airbus A321 it contains unfortunately it only has one livery at the moment (US Airways) but it's really good because the A321 is really like the A319 & A320 which the app doesn't have. The best part of the A321 on the app is: it's FREE (Yaw!). Below shows a number of pictures of the Airbus A321 on the simulator.

Infinite Flight: Boeing 757

The app comes with a number of free ones too: Airbus A321, A380, Boeing 737, 747, 787 etc, and zSan Francisco & Amsterdam Airport etc. My favourite aircraft on the app is the Boeing 757 it contains nearly 10 different types of livery including: Delta, British Airways, Monarch, United, UPS, American Airlines, Thomson, & Thomas Cook. The Boeing 757-200 aircraft is an in app purchase and costs €4.49 for the aircraft type and pack of liveries. Below shows a number of pictures of the Boeing 757 on the simulator.

BMI Baby

BMI Baby another favourite for spotters at Cork Airport. BMI Baby operated a number of routes from Cork to the UK in the 8 years it operated to/from Cork. Routes that BMI Baby operated from Cork were Birmingham, Cardiff, Durham Tees Valley, & East Midlands, the last route to operate was Manchester and that ceased in April 2010. BMI Baby was founded on 24 January 2002, started operations on 22 March 2002 and ceased operations on 9 September 2012. BMI Baby had an all Boeing fleet with Boeing 737-300's and 737-500's. Before the airline's closure it operated 12 Boeing 737-300 and 2 Boeing 737-500 aircraft bringing it to a total of 14 aircraft. BMI Baby had bases in most UK Airports, that was Belfast City, Birmingham, Cardiff, Durham Tees Valley, East Midlands & Manchester. In 2006 the airline closed the Durham base due to insufficiant passenger numbers. The bases in Cardiff and Manchester were closed in 2011 to make was for the expansion of the East Midlands base and to open a new base at Belfast City, however the base at Belfast City, didn't even last 12 months, and closed in June 2012. Birmingham & East Midlands were the last base to close and they closed with the airline on 9 September. The last BMI Baby flight to operate was BMI Baby WW5330 from Málaga to East Midlands.

Another one of my favourites: Jet2.com a great airline!! Jet2 fly Cork to Newcastle on Mondays & Fridays at 1745. Jet2 was founded in October 2002 and commenced operations on 12 February 2003. Cork is Jet2's only scheduled service to the Republic of Ireland. The airline have a base at Belfast International Airport in Northern Ireland. In total the airline have 9 bases, ''Alicante, Belfast, Blackpool, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow INT, Leeds Bradford (HQ), Manchester, & Newcastle.'' In 2012, the airline carried 4.7 million passengers, the highest record ever. Jet2 operate an all Boeing fleet with Boeing 737 & Boeing 757 aircraft. The airline have 30 Boeing 737-300 aircraft, 1 Boeing 737-300 frieght aircraft, 6 Boeing 737-800 aircraft & 11 Boeing 757-200 aircraft. The airline have no orders and have a fleet total of 47 aircraft. Jet2 also operate Charter & Air Cargo services.

EasyJet

By far my favourite Low Cost Carrier has to be EasyJet. I know I'm Irish and should be supporting Ryanair, but I no!! I can't stand Ryanair. Being on Ryanair is like being on a bus!! But EasyJet even though it is a budget airline, it is still very traditional. EasyJet was founded in 1995 by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou. Last year (2012), EasyJet carried over 59 million passengers. The airline operate an all Airbus fleet, and serves as the largest Airbus A319 operator. EasyJet have 138 Airbus A319 aircraft and 52 Airbus A320 aircraft plus 15 orders. In total the airline have a fleet of 190 aircraft plus 15 orders. EasyJet featured in the TV programme, ''Airline,'' between 1999 and 2006. The airlines' headquarters is located on the grounds of London Luton Airport, but London Gatwick Airport serves as the airlines' largest base. As seen on Airline all of EasyJet's aircraft were Boeing 737-300's & 700's. The airline started phasing the Boeing 737 out of the fleet between 2007 & 2011, the airlines' last Boeing aircraft a Boeing 737-700 was retired at the end of 2011. The airline now operates A319's & A320's. Since 1996 EasyJet have bought out 2 airlines, ''Go Fly,'' in 2003 and, ''GB Airways,'' in 2008, the majority of the aircraft EasyJet inherited from these airlines have since been retired, Go Fly had Boeing 737-300's in their fleet and GB Airways had A320's & A321's, EasyJet retired the A321's after 2 years in 2010.

Air Dolomiti

Air Dolomiti is an Italian Regional airline based in Verona, Italy. The airline is a partner of Lufthansa Regional, linking destinations to the Lufthansa hub in Munich. Air Dolomiti, was founded on 30 December 1989, by Linee Aeree Europee (L.A.E). Air Dolomiti's name it said to have originated from the section of the Alpes, called the Dolomites. Air Dolomiti operate a fleet of 20 aircraft with Embraer E-195's and ATR72-500's, the airline has 10 of each aircraft. The ATR72 seats 64 passengers and the E-195 seats 116. Air Dolomiti operates out of Cork to Verona every Saturday between May and September, with an Embraer E-195. The airline is planning to phase out the ATR72 aircraft from the fleet in 2014. The CEO of Air Dolomiti is also the CEO of Italy's entire Lufthansa division.
